The Graduation Ceremony

        Graduation ceremony is a dream of university students. It was my sister's graduation ceremony. She Graduated from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. We were with impatient to go that ceremony. We got ready from early in the morning.😁

I dressed a black colour frock and my mother and sister dressed sarees. The ceremony was held at the BMICH. We went there early in the morning by our elder sister's car.

The Graduation ceremony started at the 8.30 a.m. First National Anthem and University Anthem were played. All graduates and guests were welcomed by a short perahara with kandyan dancers and drummers. There was a welcome speech and after that it started to give degree certificates. When my sister was on the stage to obtain the certificate I was very happy. In that moment I wished if my father was there with us. Our father left us before two months ago sisters graduation.😔

The event ended around 10.30 a.m. After that I took some photos with my mom and sister. After that we settled down to to get back home. It was a very happy, emotional and important day for me. 💗
